If you and your spouse are the "Sole" drivers of the vehicle you rent from us, you can decline "OUR" CDW  Insurance by meeting any of he following criteria:

1. Using the following Credit Cards will allow you to decline "OUR" required insurance on vehicles rated as 4WD or Sports Utility Vehicles, excluding Safari Trucks (Pickups), to cover cardholder and spouse only.

                  *American Express Personal Cards, Discover Platinum,Visa Gold/Platinum,
                  Merrill Lynch Signature Reward, or any Citibank Visa or Mastercard.
                  (These are the only Credit Cards "WE" accept for insurance purposes).

2. Use of your "PERSONAL" insurance - You must bring a letter from your insurance agent/company with you, which is then attached to your Rental Agreement.  This letter must be on the Insurance Company's letterhead stating that you are covered for one of the following:

        "Are insured for a Rental 4WD Jeep type Vehicle in the U.S. Territories"
          if renting a Jeep type vehicle.
        "Use of your personal insurance will allow only the policy holder and spouse
        to drive regardless of your policy!

This letter must be presented upon arrival, or can be FAXED to us by your insurance company before your arrival.

If any of the above conditions are met to decline the required CDW by the St. John Car Rental, Inc. Renter will pay  the St. John Car Rental, Inc all costs directly involved for any damages and/or accidents and will have to apply for reimbursement on his/her Credit Card Company or Personal Insurance Company, which ever is used.
