IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Virgin Islanders drive on the left side of the road. Please wear your seatbelts at all time. It’s the law. Children should be placed in the back seat in child restraint seats. Most people bring their own, as it cannot be guaranteed that one will be available upon arrival.A valid US or foreign license is acceptable for use in the islands and may be used for up to 60 days. Renters must be over 25 years of age and if older than 75, must bring a doctor’s certificate with them attesting to their safe driving ability. Drinking and driving is illegal and unsafe. If you do drink alcoholic drinks, make sure someone in your party who is signed up as a driver is chosen "designated driver" so that everyone in the vehicle can be safe. Driving on the left side of the road takes all your concentration. Make sure you drive safely! |
